So I turned 19!!! wooo!

I got the most amazing brithday present ever;

A call from the head of the japanese department to say I'd been accepted into the japanese exchange programme ^-^ I &hearts Andrew lol

So me and my mate are going to be right smack bang in the middle of tokyo at Meiji Gakuin University (not to be confused with meiji university - if only our japanese department had an exchange with them T-T). I'm sure I'm going to be sooooooooooooo broke next year but atleast I have someone I know with me and doing the exact same course who is a really awesome person.

I'm not sure its hit me yet but its going be such an awesome year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm slowly working my way through TPFII... its getting there - i promise

I just found out (after listening to Murakami CLEARLY explaining it *why didn't i get it the first time?*) That the muchaburi okinawa special is in two parts - so I've downloaded the first part (i had the 2nd obviously) and I'll get to work on those. The first ones basically just Yoko, Maru, Ohkura and this lady going around okinawa and eating pork. It is pretty good though - as far as mucha buri goes. Maru is really considerate to the actress/model? (I will find out exactly who she is tonight - I have a feeling i've seen her before). It's nice to see Maru acting to kindly to her ^-^ Then the other half does the next episode going around okinawa finding interesting spots and hanging out with other ikemen *yay*

Right now though I'm in the middle of organising my application and endless amounts of addition info for the university exchange (japan here i come?) but the process is a bitch... and i don't use vulgar language that often

I sent in my fully completed application at the start of the week and got an email back telling me they decided to change one of the essay questions and add another question about course choices to it... wtf... they do realise that its 2 weeks until completed applications are due right? I was also told that because I want to study in a "taught in japanese" course I have to talk to the language and cultures department to see their process (WHAT? theres TWO processes????). So I talked to my lecturer and she said that I'd do better over there then anyone else but she has no idea what process i have to go through to get there... huh!? so without much explanation ive been told to check the notice board (meaning walking up the killer hill to my uni during the holidays against the wind and rain) and re-write/write these extra things for my application. Im quite troubled haha
Also they tell us for the extra question we have to research what papers the universities offer and write down which ones we want to take that will correspond with our degrees at victoria... one problem... the japanese uni's websites are poorly translated and have very very very little information like that on them. All i can find is descriptions of the departments they have. Grrr. I want to get into Meiji!!!



Other then that... I haven't done much XDDD

so psyc is interesting and all but it's still got an exam; sure everyone thinks i can do well without studying but to be honest... its not really like that anymore - haha - back when i was young it was so EASY!

OH WELL! its over tomorrow and then at 4:30 i can come back down that stupid hill - have a few shots of my left over vodka and finish subbing Inocchi's SCP. i think i've done a good job of it so far. I've finished about 5mins and done the timing at the same time as subbing which makes it easier.

the only problem is on the 22nd i have my english exam - kill me. why did i choose english as an elective??? sure i'm fairly good at it but it's so much work - too many books to memorise plots and sub plots of. stupid critiques should just stick to one opinion!

once that is done tho i have no excuse but to get a good part-time job and do plenty of subbing... and then the next term starts... urgh. i gotta pull out of stats before its to late since i changed my major and don't *have* to take it anymore. but what to choose instead?

what a pathetic entry!

Woo! thats right im going to finally try and get my act together and put my japanese skills (no matter how weak they are) to use! It may take me some time to get some clips together and set up another account (i dont really want to post them here) but in time i will get to it lol.
I just decided rather then constantly watching subbed clips when i can basically understand non subbed clips anyway i should just start participating more in the JE/H!P community by subbing those forgotten clips that no one subs. I'm usually just a community stalker lol - just commenting to say "thank you for your hard work" but itd be nice to put my obsession to use XD
Of course, exams are coming up and i have 3 big japanese assignments but inbetween all that ill try my best to get some stuff out there - once i work my way around how to use subtitling programmes of course ^-^ but i do have a little experience... a little little little...

yes i'm getting glasses.
Aparently i have quite bad myopia (short-sightedness). He was shocked i hadn't come sooner but honestly i didn't think they were that bad! I finally chose my frames today. They are bronze, curved rectangles. They pretty much match into my hair colour. I get them at 3pm today. Wonder if i'll be able to see more with them. It was amazing when he showed me the difference between my normal eyes and what they are with lenses. I thought the reading chart thingy was thin grey writing but when he put the lenses over my eyes i found that it is thick black writing.
I have to wear my glasses for most things like in class, driving, watching tv, going on the computer and such. Atleast my teachers will stop complaining!

yay its holidays!

my plan for these holidays is to get all my homework done, learn some dances, sew something (maybe cosplay an outfit of gams' for next years armageddon) and record a song.
I'm also playing bach's prelude BMV 846 in c major. Its actually easier then it looks but it sounds awesome when you play it! I might accompany someone singing ave maria or playing it on violin or something (this prelude is the accompaniment to ave maria).
Turns out maxine and i got 3rd place in our section for our duet of Only Human by K. Even though its in japanese everyone in the crowd got the sadness from our voices which was exactly what i wanted to achieve. From the judges comment it seemed that she thought it was an english song translated into japanese. oh well. she still gave us a good score and third!
next year we are going to be a bit silly and do a britany spears song. i can't wait.
Theres interviews for prefects next term. god help me. i just want to prove myself to anyone who thinks i cant lead and am not a valued member of the school aka. my parents.
